Esther the Wonder Pig has been raised at the home of Derek Walter & Steve Jenkins , and is the founding member of the Happily Ever Esther Farm Sanctuary in Campbellville , Ontario , where Esther currently resides .
Esther's story has inspired hundreds of thousands of people worldwide . Esther's book Esther the Wonder Pig : Changing the World One Heart at a Time is a NY Times Bestseller and Esther has made countless TV and radio appearances .
While Esther is a star , to Derek and Steve , Esther is a very important member of their family .
Esther has recently fallen ill , and is currently being treated at the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph . Unfortunately , Esther needs immediate , urgent testing that can only be provided at Cornell University Veterinary Hospital in Ithaca , NY . The problem is that Esther would be required to undergo a 3 week quarantine before returning to Esther's home in Canada after receiving the tests and treatment needed at Cornell .
Please sign the letter below and respectfully ask The Right Honourable Justin Trudeau and Paul Glover , President of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency , to waive this requirement for Esther , who is truly a Canadian national treasure .

Hey everybody ! We just wanted to take a minute to say Thank You . Esther has had one hell of a week , but is doing as well as we could possibly hope for now that we are back at home . . .

We can hardly believe it ! Not only did we reach our goal and succeed in raising the funds needed to purchase the Pegaso CT Scanner . . . but Esther has been scanned , and we are now officially launching the Esther Shares Medical Fund !!!!
Testing . . . one , two , three
As you can imagine , before being able to make the Pegaso scanner fully functional there are many testing protocols that must take place . The machine has to be calibrated for radiation levels , the Ontario Ministry of Labour has to issue a special permit to the Ontario Veterinary College , and vet technicians need to be properly trained on the use and maintenance of the machine . All of this is currently underway .
While this will all take a few weeks to complete , we are so excited to be close enough to OVC that they allowed Esther to be scanned as part of their set up and training process . Once Esther's doctors are able to see a proper scan of Esther's back , we can start to put in place a treatment program to get Esther back to the usual happy and active self !
